technical difficulties

i sometimes forget that we don't live in a predictable place. with repeated lightning storms, our internet has waffled between nonexistent and slothly slow in the past two weeks – partially explaining my negligence at getting new stuff up here. to make matters better, a thief or thieves stole 80 meters of phone line from our subdivision on friday night. that means that we have no phone line both at home and at school. official estimate on when it will be fixed is "four days only," but we all remember that last time this happened, it took over a month to remedy…
