adjusting to the differences
after watching me and all her friends have to wake up and trudge up to school every morning before seven, melissa has decided that she really enjoys the life of a stayathome mom (domestic engineer). today she hosted her first luncheon, did crafts with the ladies, and made chicken salad wraps - basically martha stewart in manila.
i, on the other hand, have been truding up to campus every day before seven. waking up early again was a hard adjustment, especially since my wife lays in bed and smiles as i leave the house. getting to interact with students again makes it all worth while. classes have begun well and i'm excited to be working on the yearbook this year. i'm still looking for a new group of guys to compose this year's firemans club, and scouting for the rugby team which gets underway in november.
still waiting for mom barlow to come over for a visit...
