back to the fire

the internet is recovering. no hope in sight for our phone lines.

we had the first firemans meeting of the year last monday night. there are eight guys: two seniors from last year, three new seniors, and three new juniors. under normal circumstances, those guys don't hang out with each other, so i was a bit worried about group dymanics. but it all worked really well. the guys get along great and were comfortable with each other. i'm looking forward to some great times with them this year.

for the first month of his life, zeb wouldn't keep his eyes open for pictures. for the second month he wouldn't smile for pictures. now he does.
