farewell friends...you will be greatly missed!!

the life of an TCK, you make friends you go on furlough, you come back they leave...who knows when you will see them again. that is the story in the barlow household as well...

on july 5, we will be saying one of the most difficult farewells yet!! our bestest friends are leaving...crystal valdez, the girl i met at bible study about 10 years ago, is immigrating with her family to canada! soon after we became friends, we confided in each other that we were both dating someone...i got engaged, she got engaged....i got married, she got married...we had our 1st baby, crystal and jerry had their 1st baby and so the story goes with all three kids.

when i needed help with the boys she would always say, "just drop them off!" 3 kids, 6 kids it's all the same right? :) crystal was my shopping buddy, my encourager, my continuous nurse, but most of all an incredible friend! all that said, we forced our kids to be friends, so this will be a terribly difficult transition for us!! not only will it be difficult on us, the valdez's have only vacationed in Canada, so the transition from a 3rd world country to a 1st world country is going to be quite a switch. we will be praying for you friends. you know you are always welcome in our house wherever that is...

10 year anniversary in palawan right????

we do ask for your prayers as joshua and joel were our boys super close friends and our boys will not know what to do without them!!
