siamese fighting fish

when my friend sandra (my old roommate) was visiting we met up several times to hang out. towards the end of her stay we met up for dinner on a night that jon had bible study with his boys, so i took zeb. i forgot anything to occupy and knew that i would regret this come dinner time. we waited for sandra to come and meandered into a pet store...zeb was enjoying all the fish, then asked if he could get one. i asked the price of the beta fish...50 pesos..just over a dollar, and knew we could swing that. zeb instantly corrected me on the name and quickly grabbed the bag from the man....muttered a quick thank you and for the rest of the night all we heard was "this is a siamese fighting fish, this is a siamese fighting fish."
