Resurrection Sunday

the egg is empty?! Jesus has risen...leave it to mor mor to find something unique- resurrection eggs! These are eggs with a special surprise and a cool devotion for the 12 days up to Easter. zeb and jai thought they were the coolest things, but were confused why today's was empty...we explained and explained...i'm sure with a few years of doing this cool tradition they will join in the celebration that Christ has risen!!

we went to church today and sang no easter hymns, call me an old fuddy duddy, but i was very disappointed. next to Christmas services, Easter is my next favorite and i was sorely disappointed...maybe something to look forward to in the states or have they abandoned hymns too? After church we celebrated our NO SUGAR kick with a milkshake from mc do a.k.a. mc donald's (jon and i gave up sugar for the Lenten season and think we will make a lifestyle change).

zeb, jai and keio all went down for a rest after church, so we could have an easter egg hunt...i never did these when i was a kid, but have started this fun activity with my kids...i read a great book to the boys called the "Legend of the Easter Egg," check i out... i think there is also one by the same author on the candy cane for Christmas.

one more celebration for my family is the birth of our new niece to Dan, Erin, Emerald and Sean....Ireland Elysse born on April 7th...she is the 1st child of dan and erin's that i haven't been around for the birth of...been kinda sad for me BUT exciting due to the fact that we will see her all next year!!!!!!!!!
