6 quirks...
a classmate from highschool tagged me...i have never done this before, but i am suppose to write 6 quirks about myself. i wonder if i lived in north america if these quirks would be any different or if quirks are quirks no matter what country you are in. well, here it goes for information you may not have known about me, may not want to know about me, or will just sit and laugh once you do know...
1) i CANNOT stand feet. i actually had a highschool student tell me before i married jon that i had to like his feet because i was marrying him. i must admit it is a few things about feet that i don't like....like dirty feet, toenails, fungusy toenails, calloused feet or cracked feet. so i guess if you fall into any of those categories hide your feet next time you are around me.
2) i hate long fingernails and toenails. as soon as the white shows on my fingers and toenails, i cut it off. i think this goes back to playing volleyball and not wanting my toenails to hit the front of the shoe... or maybe it just grosses me out...needless to say, i cut my sons toenails as soon as they start trapping dirt.
3) i start projects and don't finish them. living in the philippines where i do there is a cheap fabric market. i picked up the hobby of quilting, but i make the top and then don't finish it...i have actually started to pay trained seamstresses to finish them for me. this quirk is definitely inherited from my mother.
4) i dissect my food. i was a vegetarian from seventh grade til about 7 years ago, but realized i was not getting the necessary vits. and minerals that my body needed so i started to eat chicken. once i started to have children, my dr. told me i had to eat red meat due to my iron being snatched by the fetus inside me. i guess i am just one of those people who has to know what's in my food.
5) i am an ice chewer. much to my dentist dismay! i have only had one root canal, which wasn't a direct result from the ice, but was probably helped along with this horrible habit. i haven't been back to the dentist since, but i do know that a few parts of my teeth are missing...
6) i like to eat dry oatmeal. not so much since i moved to the philippines, but throughout college and after. i think this quirk came from backpacking and not liking the texture of oatmeal with water... it is quite expensive here, so maybe once or twice while i'm pregnant i will sneak a box in our shopping cart.
there ya go...6 weird tidbits of information about me!
i tag:
1) Val Manthes
2) Ellen Brooks
3) Becky Steeby
4) Samatha Zipp
i think those are all the people that i know that have blogs...(sad i know)!

Oh my goodness - I just HAD to comment!! First of all, the ice chewing - I have only had this obsession during my pregnancies. I could NOT go without chewing ice ALL DAY long. So funny. Also...I chuckled to myself when I read about the vegetarianism b/c I remember when we had to read "The Jungle" in American Culture and I just remember how utterly repulsed you were. Good memories! :) ha ha Love the blog!
