our little swimmer

too much happening over here, but it all ends today!! faith graduation happens this afternoon, which means jon is done with school for this school year. where did all the time go? the yearbook turned out fantastic, jon is very pleased with the outcome and that it is done. his editor for next year actually picked out next years staff already...completely different from this year, like always i guess.

tonight the boys will be looked after by ate rose, while jon and i say our last goodbyes to friends that we may only see again in eternity. jon will spend a portion of the night at the senior all nighter, so i assume that's where he will say many of his goodbyes. me being home, i don't have many bonds with students leaving, more friends going on furlough or not returning.

and now finally to my blog title...we were at the pool yesterday afternoon and zeb decided for most of the time that he did not want his swimmies, water wings, floaties, whatever you call them on. so i took them off and he jumped to me a couple times in the deep pool. finally i took him about six feet from the ladder and said, "head down, and swim to the ladder." he did it!! i was amazed so i took him further from the ladder and he did it again!! i just wonder if in his almost 3 year old mind if he'll forget he can swim or if he'll want to try again...i guess only another trip to the pool will tell. i will try to capture it on video and post it!!!
