due to popular demand, here are the origins of jai's first and middle names (we'll let you figure out where his last name comes from).
jai - we stole this name from an aussie kid who was in kindergarten here last year. he was a cute kid, but his uniform shorts didn't fit him, so they were always sagging. jai is an indian word; in hindi it means "victory," and in another indian dialect, it means "glory." good, strong name for a good, strong lad.
thalen - we stole this name from seth adema, who was in a Bible study with me last year. he also played rugby and his family is with crwm, melissa's former mission. seth's full name is seth jacob thalen adema. thalen is his mother's maiden name, so it's a good, strong, dutch name for a kid with dutch roots.

ok... so how was spiritual emphasis week?? i'm dying to hear something from someone, and your opinion is always welcome. who spoke? on what? response? follow-up? who? what? when? where? how?
and of course, how is darling zeb and jai? :)
the land down under is as beautiful as ever... but i won't lie, lying in a hammock with zeb on my stomach doesn't sound too bad.
