dawson, mike & david

i met with mike and dawson for the first time outside of school last night. we drove down to starbucks in the torrential rain and sipped passion tea and caramel coffee a little too quickly and burnt all our tongues.

we talked about what we wanted to see happen this year and i was nicely surprised. dawson and mike have some common friends who are making some bad choices with their lives right now. the neat thing is that both guys have a heart to help their friends out. the more common reaction around here is to not spend time with people like that.

beginning next week, we are going to be studying david's life both through samuel and his psalms. it's a study i've been wanting to pull together for years, and these two guys are excited about it. right now we are meeting on sundays, but that may change when my family gets back.

only six more days. i'm finally down in the single digits...
