two paths combine...
two of my previous posts have bumped into each other in a common resolution. it's not the resolution i hoped for, but here's what happened:
a while back, i wrote about high school retreat and the events that transpired there. in particular, there was one guy that found me at the end of retreat to pray with me. in the heat of the moment, he said he was ready to make changes in his life. sadly, he wasn't. my next post talked about mike and dawson and their concern for one of their friends. they were most concerned about the same guy who came to talk to me. a week after retreat, this guy was right back to drinking, smoking, and had started a game in which he tried to come to school drunk as many times as he could. he got caught at two.
he was given the choice to change his behavior or leave school. he choose the latter. within a week, he was withdrawn from school and he and his parents were on their way back to the states to try to find a school that would take him to finish his schooling.
so now i have an empty seat in my discipleship class, mike and dawson and others are short a friend, and faith students got a reminder that it is possible to go off the deep end while still at good old faith academy.

Sounds sad. I know of this student you speak of, and him and I were good friends. Who is Mike and Dawson? Is Mike Mike Junk? Is Dawson new? Barlow, you never reply to my e-mails, do you get them?
On a happier note, I have lost my mustache, and I have grown a full-grown beard that I am currently sporting at my Bible school. Here's the site. www.thepinoyboy.blog.com
Have fun!!
