loneliness
life for me has been quite a challenge, now that the school year has started and people are roaming campus...like jon said it is nice to see people that have been away for the summer, except in my case, my closest friends have not returned or are on furlough. I thought after six years it wouldn't be so hard on me to see people go, but yet again i'm feeling that need for a close girlfriend to share things that jon just doesn't really care about (all the girls will understand).
i am hopefully not gettin involved over my head, but i am coaching jv volleyball and helping out at a medical clinic while my friend is recovering from surgery. i am still learning how to balance two kids with my social calendar and not feel guilty.

Try moving to a country which is supposed to be your home but is otherwise completely foreign and devoid of any familiarity, and then getting dumped by your girlfriend for reasons you still fail to comprehend. That is loneliness.
But personal bitterness and pity-party aside, it does get better, especially once you find things to do.

Oh Mel, I do get it!!! It's like Anne in Anne of Green Gables wanting a bosom friend. I'm going to pray that God gives you a one somebody while your best buds are away.
